Module 2: Exploring the portal
This module will explore the portal in more depth, demonstrating all of it's main functionalities and when to use them.
Lesson 1: Notifications
The portal's move notifications section has been updated for ease of use. A banner highlights missing data for sending move notifications. You can view all notifications, both sent and queued, and quickly fill in missing details, like move dates or suppliers. This feature, especially useful for new builds or unregistered properties, simplifies user interaction and minimises back-and-forth with the utilities management team.
Lesson 2: Add a void switch
1.
You can filter all moves by specific parameters like sales or status. Within each move entry, you can confirm move dates, add occupants, and provide relevant utility details.
2.
Easily add a new move for a tenant moving out from one address and into another. The system can recognise if a property is new or already exists in its database, streamlining the input process.
3.
You can determine if and when utilities will be switched during a void period, specify where bills should be sent, and set up payment details.
Lesson 3: Property Details
Feature 1
The system provides a comprehensive list of properties where you have tenants, buyers, or vendors. Search and filter these properties based on criteria like management status.
Feature 2
Directly from a property's entry, you can initiate a move in or move out without needing to re-enter property details, showcasing the platform's shift from move-centric to property-centric.
Feature 3
The platform also allows for easy editing of property details, such as management status, utility information, and service providers, ensuring up-to-date records.
Lesson 4: Adding Properties
Details such as the property's council name, UPRN number, management status, and utility information can be added and will be remembered by the system for future moves. The process is flexible, allowing users to input property information at their convenience.
Lesson 5:
You have the option to add a mover's details in advance, even if the occupant doesn’t have an immediate move planned—ideal for those who have passed referencing and are awaiting a move date. The system allows you to preload details or enter them at the time of adding a move, with the ability to input personal information, contact details, and consent status. The added details are saved and accessible in the movers list for future reference.
