Energy Void Period Service Terms (“Terms”) - Landlords
Applicable to all void submissions from 10 May 2026
The Energy Void Period Service is a Utilities Management Service provided by Just Move In. It involves the appointment of a supplier (as defined under the Energy Act and licensed conditions of a supplier as defined in Electricity Act 1989 or Gas Act 1986) and/or any of their applicable affiliated Supply Companies or other group companies, as selected by Just Move In from time to time (currently British Gas) (collectively referred to as the "Supplier") as the energy supplier for a property and/or switching an existing energy supplier into the name of the landlord.
These Terms form part of and supplement any other agreement with Just Move In, and supersede and override any other conflicting terms, agreements, or arrangements agreed in relation to Void Period Energy Services.
By requesting the Energy Void Period Service, Landlord hereby:
1.British Gas Voidcare Terms: agrees to British Gas's Voidcare Services Terms and Conditions here: https://justmovein.com/bg-voidcare-terms-and-conditions.
2.Authority: represents and warrants that it has the necessary authority: (1) to appoint — and grant the necessary authority to Just Move In to appoint — the Supplier to provide the energy supply services at the property; and (2) to provide all required information, including personal data, to Just Move In and/or the Supplier for these purposes. Landlord will inform Just Move In and/or the Supplier as soon as possible if Landlord ceases to have such authority.
3.Personal Data: agrees in relation to processing of personal data provided to Just Move In and/or the Supplier in connection with the Energy Void Period Service: (1) to comply with all applicable personal data protection laws and regulations; (2) to provide to relevant individuals an appropriate privacy notice; and (3) to ensure that it and Just Move In have a valid legal basis for such processing. Just Move In also provides a privacy notice describing Just Move In's processing of personal data, available here: www.justmovein.com/privacy.
4.Information: will provide to Just Move In and/or the Supplier within the timescales requested all information required for the Energy Void Period Service, and update it as soon as it is found to be incorrect, incomplete or outdated.
5.Payment: agrees to make payment of the charges for the energy supply services when due (plus any interest and/or third party collection fees that the Supplier may add in case of late payment).
6.Benefits: acknowledges that any credit, discount, or other promotion or benefit provided by the Supplier or Just Move In may be forfeited if payment is not made in full and on time, applicable terms and instructions are not complied with, or Landlord otherwise does not fulfil the terms of these Terms.
7.Contracts: acknowledges that Just Move In is not a party to any energy supply services contracts and excludes all liability for them, including in relation to any energy supply services or failure to supply, any billing or other dispute, connection or reconnection costs, and for any payments to be made in connection with them.
8.Indemnity: will indemnify Just Move In from and against any losses and/or any claims by the property owner, the Supplier, or a third party as a result of Landlord's delay or failure to comply with the terms of these Terms or the Voidcare Terms and Conditions.
